Dental Cadmos has been contributing for over eighty years to the scientific updating of Italian dentists by publishing results of clinical and basic research, literature reviews and clinical cases, covering all dental disciplines and specialties.

This effort has led to the indexing of Dental Cadmos on the EMBASE, WEB OF databases SCIENCE is, the only one among the Italian dental journals, on SCOPUS, a bibliometric tool used by the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR) ​​for the evaluation of research quality (VQR) and for the national scientific qualification (ASN).

Dental Cadmos is also the vehicle for the most ambitious distance learning program (FAD) for Italian dentists, who are able to integrate research data and the clinical excellence of their teachers in the best possible way, ensuring high quality professional updating.
