Group I: Self ligating (0.022\u201d slot), mean age 19.14 \u00b1 2.12 years; Group II : Self ligating (0.018\u201d slot), mean age 19.71 \u00b1 1.80 years. Computed tomographic records were collected at two intervals of time. T1: Preretraction &amp; T2: Postretraction and space closure. The preretraction and post space closure computed tomography scans were evaluated for the assessment of external apical root resorption. For the intergroup comparison of difference of mean scores between two distinct groups, independent t test was used to analyse the data using SPSS Statistical software 19.0 Version.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>RESULTS:<\/strong> There was no statistical difference between the groups from T1 &#8211; T2 in terms of EARR in either of arches.
